Elliott Rouse

Elliott Rouse is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan, where Rouse directs the Neurobionics Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and serves as Core Faculty in the Michigan Robotics Institute. Rouse has experience as a Technical Advisor and Visiting Faculty at X, the moonshot factory, contributing to the formation of an exploratory research team. Previous roles include R&D Consultant for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Laboratory Director at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, and Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT Media Lab, where Rouse developed innovative prosthetic devices. Rouse began a career as a Motorsports Mechanic with Intersport Racing, achieving notable success in international racing. Rouse holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, along with a Certificate in Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
