Jaime Berez

Assistant Professor at UNC Charlotte

Jaime Berez is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology since August 2018, with experience in various engineering roles. As a Student Member of the Board of Trustees for ASM International since June 2022, Jaime has contributed to the field beyond academic settings. Previous positions include Visiting Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where an automated digital image correlation calibration system was designed, and Team Leader for Terps Racing Baja Team, leading a student team through several competitions. Notable internships include Structural Test Engineering Intern at Tesla, X-ray Optics Engineering Intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and Propulsion Engineering Intern at SpaceX, showcasing extensive involvement in mechanical design, testing, and engineering projects.
