Freeman Whitney

Freeman Whitney currently serves as the Senior Associate Registrar at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a position held since September 2013. Responsibilities include ensuring daily operational efficiency for the Office of the Registrar, acting as Registrar in the absence of the University Registrar, and assisting military-affiliated students with Veterans' benefits. Previously, Freeman acted as Interim University Registrar at DePaul University from 2000 to 2013, where oversight involved processing degree progress reports and providing academic advising. Freeman's career in academic advising began with roles at DePaul University and included providing support for at-risk students at Baylor University. Freeman holds a Master of Education in Human Service and Counseling from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from DePaul University, with additional educational pursuits at The University of Sheffield.
