Rachid Mrabet

Rachid Mrabet, Ph.D., is a highly experienced professional in agronomy, conservation agriculture, and climate change. Currently serving as the Coordinating Lead Author for the Global Environment Outlook GEO-7 at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative since February 2023, Rachid holds extensive roles in various organizations, including as a Senior Research Director at the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (Maroc) since 1990, and a Coordinating Lead Author for the IPCC Working Group III AR6 AFOLU from October 2017 to March 2023. Additionally, Rachid has contributed as a Strategic Partnerships Specialist and a scientific division chief at Inra Morocco. Academic credentials include a PhD in Agronomy from Colorado State University, a Master of Science in Soil Physics & Hydrology, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Institut agronomique et vétérinaire Hassan II.
