Wayne Avery

Wayne Avery has extensive experience in sports broadcasting and community relations, currently serving as the Director of Freeholder Relations for the County of Union since October 2010, where responsibilities include legislative support and public constituent services. Wayne has also been the Internet Voice of Cougar Sports for Kean University since January 2009, providing play-by-play commentary across multiple sports. Previously, Wayne served as Sports Director at TKR from February 1988 to May 2002 and held the position of News/Sports Director at WJDM Radio from 1975 to 2001, focusing on local sports coverage. Additionally, Wayne briefly worked as a stat man for Bears Broadcasts at Cablevision in 1990. Wayne attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, NJ, from 1970 to 1973.
