Jean-Charles Toupin

Jean-Charles Toupin, agr., currently serves as a Conseiller en recherches et politiques agricoles - Économie at L’Union des producteurs agricoles (UPA) since May 2022. Prior experience includes working as a Directeur de comptes - marché agricole at Desjardins from October 2021 to May 2022 and an internship in agroéconomie at Statistics Canada in 2018. Jean-Charles has also held positions at UPA in research and marketing related to organic production, participated in pesticide awareness initiatives with the MDDELCC, and gained agricultural experience as a farm worker at Ferme Roua Inc. Educational qualifications include a Baccalauréat in agroéconomie from Université Laval and ongoing studies for a Maîtrise en agroéconomie, having previously completed a degree in Gestion et exploitation d'entreprise agricole - Production végétale at the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire.
