Josh Kennedy

Josh Kennedy is currently a concussion specialist and pediatrician at Union General Hospital. Prior to their current position, Josh worked as the billing and reimbursement manager at M Chest Pharmacy from September 2019 to August 2022. In this role, they closely worked with the CFO and COO conducting prescription billing reviews for long term care facilities to maximize reimbursement. Josh also oversaw billing and reimbursement of 3rd party payers, managed monthly billing of facility invoices for 160 facilities and 16,000 patients, and was a member of the C-suite revenue cycle management team.

From January 2018 to December 2018, Josh was the revenue cycle supervisor at Texas Oncology. In this role, they facilitated accurate billing and as needed re-billing of accounts, interpreted contract documents to ensure billing was performed in compliance with all contracts, trained, educated, and mentored all billing FTEs, resolved claim rejections, and de-escalated and resolved customer and payor concerns.

Prior to their work in the medical field, Josh was the operations manager at AJL International Chauffeured Transportation from January 2016 to December 2017. In this role, they managed daily operations of a fleet of 50 vehicles and a staff of 125 chauffeurs. Josh also handled customer service inquiries and complaints, coordinated special events transportation, and developed and implemented new policies and procedures.
