Stefania Tripodi is a seasoned Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since March 2006, leading efforts on gender-based violence as the Cluster Leader within the Women Rights and Gender Equality Section. Stefania has developed advocacy strategies addressing social protection, food security, and education challenges faced by women and marginalized groups, serving as a regional focal point for Latin America and the Caribbean. Previous experience includes supporting the Chief of the Development and Economic and Social Issues, documenting good practices, and focusing on land and human rights violations, particularly affecting rural women. Additionally, Stefania has a background in legal research as a Junior Lawyer at Fieldfisher Spain and has contributed to the work of the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health. Stefania holds a Master of Laws in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex and a Law Degree in International Law from Università degli Studi di Torino.
