Shapari Taxell

Shapari Taxell is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in program management, international relations, and media. Currently serving as the Director of International Programs for Project Sunshine since November 2021, Shapari oversees operations across Canada, Israel, and Kenya, managing volunteer efforts that impact thousands of children and families annually. Previous roles include serving as a Short Term Election Observer for the OSCE in multiple countries, and as Executive Editor at Independent Persian, where Shapari contributed to the establishment of an online media site. Experience also includes positions as a Finance Adviser at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Senior Consultant at Sharecat Solutions AS, and leadership roles at Global Opportunities Albania and the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan. Shapari holds a Master's degree in International Security Policy from Columbia University, along with additional qualifications in copyediting and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pomona College.
