Alex Burns is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in defensive cyber operations across various organizations. Currently serving as a Defensive Cybersecurity Specialist for the US Army, Alex contributes to the SMDC Cyber Fusion Cell. Prior roles include Task Lead at PeopleTec, overseeing the Cyber Hunt Team for the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, and Cyber Hunt Team Lead at BAE Systems, where responsibilities encompassed implementing defensive cyber capabilities and collaborating with engineering teams. Alex has also held positions at Deloitte as a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, at the Defense Intelligence Agency as a Senior Computer Network Defense Analyst, and at DISA as an Information Systems Security Specialist, showcasing a strong foundation in analyzing network traffic and maintaining cybersecurity protocols.
