Allison Burns

Allison Burns is an experienced professional in sports management, currently serving as Director of Open Championships at the United States Golf Association (USGA) since October 2015. Previously held various roles at USGA, including Assistant Director for the U.S. Women’s Open Championship and Sr. Manager for the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, demonstrating expertise in operations and championship management. Prior experience includes internships and positions with The Walt Disney Company, Winthrop Athletics, PGA of America, and Basketball Times Magazine, where responsibilities spanned guest service, compliance, marketing, and event operations. Academically, Allison holds a Master of Letters in Business Management from the University of St Andrews and a degree in Sport Management from Winthrop University.
