Alyssa Yaeger, PhD, is a Research and Development Engineer at Universal Instruments Corporation since January 2022. Previously, Alyssa worked at Purdue University as a Graduate Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Researcher from August 2016 to January 2022, focusing on solder reliability, intermetallic compounds, cross-sectional analysis, and microstructural evolution, utilizing techniques such as SEM and EDS. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Alyssa taught a course on Structure and Properties of Materials, engaging with over 60 students weekly. Earlier experience includes roles as a Heavy Metals Lab Assistant at Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, an intern with BEAM, and a private tutor. Alyssa holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from Purdue University and both a B.S. and B.A. in Physics and Mathematics from the University at Buffalo.
