Camilo Mariño

Research Assistant - Grado 2 at Universidad de la República

Camilo Mariño is a researcher at ENS Paris-Saclay, focusing on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) since September 2024. With ongoing experience at Universidad de la República since January 2019 as a Grado 2 Research Assistant, Camilo provides teaching support for courses in Deep Learning for Computer Vision, Programming for Electrical Engineering, Fundamentals of Machine Learning, and a Machine Learning Workshop. Research contributions include work on Non-Technical Losses (NTL) in collaboration with UTE and previous experience as a Grado 1 Research Assistant in Digital Image Processing and Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM). Camilo has also worked as a Data Scientist at Scanntech Uruguay from October 2023 to April 2024 and briefly served as an Engineer Assistant at UTE in early 2018. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Data Science and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Signal Processing and Machine Learning from Universidad de la República.
