Jennifer Vela Valido

Jennifer Vela Valido, Ph.D, currently serves as the Localization Quality Program Manager at Spotify and has been actively involved with Women in Localization since January 2017, holding multiple roles including Chapters Program Director and EMEIA GEO Manager. Jennifer is a member of the ISO/TC 37/SC 5/WG 1 - Translation and ASTM International's Subcommittee F43.03 on Language Translation. Additionally, Jennifer has extensive experience in academia, serving as a guest lecturer at several universities. Prior to Spotify, Jennifer held various positions at Expedia Group, including Localization Vendor Manager and Regional Quality Manager. Jennifer co-founded Geosophic and has held roles in localization project management at Subbabel, showcasing a strong background in translation and localization. Jennifer's educational credentials include multiple master's degrees and postgraduate work focused on translation, media, and entrepreneurship.
