Oscar Reyes

Oscar Reyes is a seasoned professional in the fields of economics and finance, currently serving as a Docente Investigador at Universidad Externado de Colombia since January 2022. Previously, Oscar held the role of Asesor de la Secretaría Técnica at the Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural from August 2020 to October 2023, and served as a Profesor de Economía y Finanzas at Universidad Central (CO) from January 2017 to December 2020. Experience also includes work as a researcher at DANE Colombia, focusing on the Economic Census and labor market surveys, as well as statistical consulting for the Colombian Ministry of National Education. Oscar's teaching portfolio includes a position as a professor of financial derivatives at Universidad Sergio Arboleda. In terms of education, Oscar holds a Master’s degree in Finance with a focus on quantitative finance from Universidad Externado de Colombia and a degree in Economics from Universidad del Valle. Currently, Oscar is pursuing a PhD in Systems and Computing Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
