Carlos Villegas is an accomplished academic and engineer with extensive experience in electrical engineering and power systems. Currently serving as a Professor and Researcher at Universidade Federal de Itajubá since January 2017, Carlos is involved in the Center for Power Quality and Electrical Protection Studies, specializing in power system analysis, protection, and automation. Carlos has also contributed as an external collaborator and visiting professor at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, teaching courses in power systems. Carlos's practical experience includes roles as a field engineer in various companies, focusing on the execution and maintenance of electrical projects and substations. Carlos holds a Doctor of Science in Electrical Engineering, along with multiple degrees and specializations in project management and power systems.
