Azman Hassan

Azman Hassan is a Professor in Polymer Composites and the Head of the Enhanced Polymer Research Group (EnPRO) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since August 2002, following extensive prior experience in various academic roles at the same institution. With a PhD in Polymer Technology from Loughborough University, Azman has supervised over 30 PhD and 35 Masters students and has published more than 240 scientific papers, with significant citations in respected journals. Research focus areas include flame retardancy of polymers, polymer nanocomposites, and natural fibres reinforced polymers. Azman holds leadership positions such as Director of the Research Publication Centre and has a Scopus H-Index of 26 and a Google Scholar H-Index of 33.
