Fatin Aliah Phang

Fatin Aliah Phang has an extensive career in education, currently serving as Deputy Director and Research Fellow at the UTM Centre for Engineering Education since July 2014. An accomplished academic, Fatin has held various positions at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since December 2003, including Professor, Chair of the School of Education, and Associate Professor, focusing on teaching, research, publication, administration, and community services. Leadership experience includes chairing the Malaysian Education Deans Council from August 2021 to January 2023, overseeing Deans of Education across public universities in Malaysia. Previous roles encompass managing a PhD program in Engineering Education and teaching Physics and Mathematics at the secondary school level. Fatin's educational qualifications include a PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge, along with higher degrees from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Physics Education.
