Ann-Christine Zinkann

Ann-Christine Zinkann is a highly experienced marine biologist currently serving as a Program Specialist III at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research since February 2021. Previously, Zinkann held the position of Sea Grant Knauss Fellow - International Ocean Liaison at NOAA from February 2020 to February 2021, where responsibilities included engagement with global ocean monitoring initiatives and Arctic research support. Earlier work experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the Biologisch-Landschaftsökologische Arbeitsgemeinschaft, as well as scientific contributions on research cruises for the University of Hamburg. Zinkann earned a PhD in Marine Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Hamburg, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
