Laura Rea

Laura Rea, CIA, is an experienced audit professional currently serving as the Director of Assurance Services at UFCU since March 2002. In this role, Laura educates and assists the Supervisory Committee in fulfilling its responsibilities related to financial reporting objectives and safeguarding members' assets. Previous positions include Senior Auditor at UFCU, where Laura conducted operational and regulatory compliance audits, and Auditor/Consultant at local CPA firms, focusing on governmental contracts. Additionally, Laura held the position of Assistant State Auditor at the Texas State Auditor's Office, specializing in audits related to health and human services. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Southwestern University, obtained in 1995.
