Betsy Freeburg

Betsy Freeburg serves as the Head Volleyball Coach at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since July 2020, following a tenure as Associate and Assistant Head Volleyball Coach at Samford University from May 2017 to June 2020. Betsy has extensive coaching experience as an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Georgia State University from January 2014 to May 2017. Additionally, Betsy worked as a Research Analyst at Crossman & Company and has been actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, speaking at local schools about faith. During their time at the University of Florida, where Betsy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management, notable involvement included being a Varsity Volleyball Player and participating in community service events as a volunteer. Further volunteer work includes leadership roles at Vacation Bible School and Baby Gator Day Care, focusing on childhood development and mentorship.
