David Pigott

David Pigott is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, a position held since October 2013. Concurrently, David has served at UAB Hospital since 1999 as Co-Director of Emergency Ultrasound and Vice Chair for Faculty Development in the Department of Emergency Medicine. David earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons between 1991 and 1995, and completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt from 1996 to 1999. A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature was obtained from Yale University in 1990, alongside a High School Diploma from Cate School.
