Heather Young-Leslie

Heather Young-Leslie PhD is a seasoned academic and research professional, currently serving as the Senior Research Partner in the Social Sciences and Humanities within the VP Research & Innovation portfolio at the University of Alberta since January 2011. Heather has held multiple positions including Lead Liaison for Research Impact Canada and Adjunct Professor of Anthropology, focusing on graduate mentoring and research proposal workshops. Previous roles include Senior Advisor and Director for the Social Sciences & Humanities Grant Assist Program, emphasizing increased success in securing research funding. Heather's international experience includes visiting professorships in India and various guest lectures across the Pacific Islands. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Anthropology and Global Health from York University and an MA in Medical Anthropology from McMaster University.
