Kashimbi Mbuta

Kashimbi Mbuta is an experienced research professional currently serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta since June 2024. Prior to this role, Kashimbi worked as a Research Technician at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute from September 2022 to September 2024 and as an Immunochemistry Analyst II at Charles River Laboratories from November 2020 to June 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as a Laboratory Assistant in the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where responsibilities involved various experimental tasks, and a Student Laboratory Assistant in the Chemistry Department, focused on synthesizing macrocycles and assisting graduate students. Kashimbi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Memorial University, obtained in 2020.
