Shari Baraniuk

Shari Baraniuk currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at the University of Alberta, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Shari gained extensive experience at the University of Saskatchewan from August 2006 to June 2023, where responsibilities included Chief Information Officer, Director of Client Services, Director of IT Services in the Financial Services Division, and Associate Director of IT. Shari's academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology from Athabasca University (2002-2005) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba (1985-1989).
