Gerrit Oomens

Gerrit Oomens is an experienced program manager and mathematics lecturer currently affiliated with the University of Amsterdam since 2008. In the role of program manager IT, Gerrit oversees IT implementation and software development projects. As a lecturer in Mathematics, Gerrit coordinates and teaches bachelor courses, creating course materials and assessments for groups of up to 100 students. Additionally, Gerrit has served as Head of IT for Education, managing IT infrastructure and developing the education information system DataNose, as well as working as a C# developer and IT coordinator on the same system. Recently, Gerrit held the position of project manager at Autoriteit Financiële Markten, focusing on the selection of a technical solution for a new client portal. Gerrit holds a Master's degree in Mathematics (cum laude) and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (cum laude with honours), both from the University of Amsterdam, and completed a high school diploma in Nature and Health from Murmelliusgymnasium.
