Tereza Afonso

Tereza Afonso is a seasoned translator specializing in legal and financial translation, with experience at Language Services since 2014, translating from English and Spanish into European Portuguese. Tereza's expertise is bolstered by legal knowledge and practical experience from the Prosecutor General’s Office, utilized in dissertation work. In addition to translation services, Tereza serves as a Translation Tutor at the University of Birmingham and has been a researcher with the GHD team at Universidade do Minho since 2016, focused on the intersection of Applied Linguistics, Languages, and Technologies. Tereza holds a PhD in Social Sciences with a focus on Translation and Intercultural Mediation from Universidad de Salamanca, alongside a Master's in Translation and Multilingual Communication from Universidade do Minho and a Law Degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
