Kavian Cooke

Kavian Cooke, MPhil, MBA, PhD, C.Eng., MIET, currently serves as the Director of Post Graduate Research and Associate Professor in Material Science and Engineering at the University of Bradford since February 2017. With extensive academic experience including roles as a lecturer and adjunct lecturer at various universities, Kavian has expertise in materials science and engineering. Previously, Kavian held the position of Director of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Jamaica, and has entrepreneurial experience as the CEO and Founder of Naivak Electronics. In addition, roles include Chief Technical Specialist at Gulfray of America and Vice President of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD in Engineering from the University of Calgary and multiple degrees in mechanical engineering and business from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
