Steve Oliver

Steve Oliver, CFA, is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in compliance and finance. Currently serving as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary since July 2021, Steve has held multiple leadership roles at Tetra Trust Company, including Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Finance. Previously, Steve had a significant tenure at BP from 2003 to 2021, where roles included Interim Compliance Director for the Eastern Hemisphere and Ethics & Compliance Manager, overseeing compliance for major trading operations across Asia and Europe. Steve's earlier career includes positions in credit and treasury at companies such as Cargill and Mirant. Steve holds a CFA designation from the CFA Institute, a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Lethbridge, and a Business Administration Diploma from Mount Royal University.
