Amanda Paulson

Amanda Paulson, PhD, currently serves as an Informatics Specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, and as a Data Scientist at ATOM Accelerating Therapeutics for Opportunities in Medicine. Amanda has previously held positions as a Data Scientist and Cancer Drug Discovery Data Science Fellow at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate at the University of California, San Francisco. Amanda's research focuses on the interactions among heterogeneous groups of cells to understand their behavioral influences. Prior experience includes an internship at IBM, where Amanda developed an image segmentation and tracking algorithm for microscopy data, and roles as an Assistant Research Technician at the Van Andel Institute and a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Amanda holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco, and a B.S. in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan.
