Jeff Neitz

Jeff Neitz is an accomplished academic and scientist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Since May 2011, Jeff Neitz has served as an Adjunct Professor and Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, focusing on innovative methods for screening chemical tools and drug leads. Previously, from September 2003 to April 2011, Jeff Neitz worked at Elan Pharmaceuticals as a Staff Scientist, where notable contributions included the development of CNS permeable, selective kinase inhibitors targeting Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. Jeff Neitz began a career in 1996 at Athena Neurosciences and holds a Ph.D. in Synthetic Chemistry from the University of Michigan and a B.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Georgetown University.
