Esme Wilks

Esme Wilks is a seasoned communications professional with significant experience in higher education. Currently serving as the Head of Advancement Communications at the University of Cambridge since January 2024, Esme previously held various leading roles in communications within the University of Oxford, including Head of Communications for the Social Sciences Division and Senior Communications Manager. Esme's expertise includes managing comprehensive communications strategies, overseeing project teams, and executing complex projects such as a major website redesign for the Faculty of Law. With a solid background in freelance writing and editing, as well as project support roles across several institutions, Esme combines strong communication skills with extensive knowledge of academic environments. Esme holds a BA (Hons.) in Russian from the University of Nottingham.
