Dr. Hannelie Nel

Dr. Hannelie Nel serves as the Regional Quality, Risk, and HSE Manager for Worley Middle East, overseeing operations in the UAE, Oman, North Africa, and Iraq, focusing on energy, chemicals, and renewable energy projects. Prior experience includes founding and directing Tennelli South Africa, a consulting firm specializing in Quality and Risk Management, and managing quality initiatives at Africa's largest utility with BIE Group. Dr. Nel has also held academic leadership roles at the University of Johannesburg, ensuring quality assurance for multiple engineering departments. Earlier professional roles include senior engineering positions at Degussa and PFG Building Glass, with a foundational experience as an engineer in training at Sappi. Dr. Nel holds a Doctor Ingeneriae in Engineering Management from the University of Johannesburg, an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
