Paria Gharavi currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida since August 2023. Previously, Gharavi was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from March 2020 to August 2023 and worked as a Lab Manager and Research Assistant at UNSW between April 2019 and March 2020, focusing on thin film characterization and electron microscopy. A visiting scientist at the Pico Electron Microscopy Center at Southern University of Science and Technology of China in late 2017, Gharavi holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from UNSW (2015-2019), a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (2012-2014), and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from Imam Khomeini International University (2008-2012). Gharavi's research interests center on advanced transmission electron microscopy techniques to investigate structural and compositional changes in thin films at the nanoscale, aiming to enhance the engineering of functional nanomaterials for energy applications.
