Junbo Zhao

Junbo Zhao serves as the Director of the DOE Northeast University Cybersecurity Center for Advanced and Resilient Energy Delivery at the University of Connecticut, focusing on regional collaborations to enhance cybersecurity in power systems. In addition, Junbo holds the position of Castleman Term Professor in Engineering Innovation and is the Associate Director of the Eversource Energy Center for Grid Modernization and Strategic Partnerships. Junbo is also a Research Scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and has been involved with the IEEE Power & Energy Society since 2017, taking on multiple leadership roles including Chair of the Connecticut Chapter and various task forces addressing power system operation and dynamic state estimation. Junbo's academic background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, contributing to significant advancements in dynamic state estimation and cyber attack detection methods for power systems.
