Anne-Christin Frister

Anne-Christin Frister, born in 1966, studied law. She is the presiding judge at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court, where she heads the 3rd Cartel Senate responsible for energy cartel matters.

In 1995 Anne-Christin Frister joined the judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and was appointed judge at the regional court in 1999. She worked in civil and criminal cases before she was tried in a civil senate of the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court in 2003. At the beginning of 2006, Anne-Christin Frister was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court. Until the end of 2011, she was a member of the 2nd Cartel and Public Procurement Senate of the Higher Regional Court in Düsseldorf, dealing with cartel and public procurement matters. At the beginning of 2012, she switched to the 3rd Cartel Senate, which is responsible for energy cartel matters and deals with energy law proceedings relating to the decisions of the Federal Network Agency in the electricity and gas network area.

Anne-Christin Frister is Deputy Equal Opportunities Officer at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Düsseldorf Institute for Energy Law (DIER) at HHU.
