Mar Matarin serves as an Hons Senior Lecturer at the School of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow since May 2023 and has established a diverse career as a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with The Disabilities Trust since August 2021. Mar also holds the position of Hons Senior Lecturer at the Department of Molecular Neuroscience, Institute of Neurology, since July 2016, with research focused on the genetic and molecular basis of Mesial Temporal Epilepsy with Hippocampal Sclerosis. Additional roles include being an accredited internal coach at University College London since 2014, having completed a Coaching Skills program in 2013. Previous positions encompass various clinical neuropsychology and psychology roles across multiple healthcare settings, including the Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre and William Harvey Heart Centre. Mar Matarin's educational background includes a doctorate in Neuropsychology from the University of Barcelona and a Master's in Clinical Neuropsychology from Hospital del Mar, alongside a Bioinformatics with Systems Biology Certificate from Birkbeck University of London.
