Richard Warburton

Richard Warburton is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications at the University of Glasgow since February 2021. Previously, Richard held key positions at WWF as Director of Corporate Communications and interim Exec Director of Communications, and at the British Bankers' Association as Director of Communications. Richard also served as Director of Media at Save the Children UK and Chief Press Officer at 10 Downing Street, advising the Prime Minister on home affairs. Early career roles include Senior Press Officer positions at the UK Ministry of Defence and the UK Home Office. Richard holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire and a BA Hons in Philosophy and European Literature from Anglia Ruskin University.
