Asif Ali

Asif Ali, PhD, serves as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Guelph, where research focuses on mineral carbonation, carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS) to address climate change and drive net-zero solutions. With experience as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart Canada, Asif manages a team while ensuring quality customer experiences. Prior research roles include positions as a Mitacs Research Fellow and NRCan Research Fellow, where Asif engaged in innovative projects involving biodegradability and carbon dioxide utilization. Asif's earlier experience includes graduate research roles at institutions such as aramco, SABIC, and Shell, along with teaching roles at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. Asif holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph and has also completed significant education in Mechanical Engineering, culminating in a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Sciences and Technology.
