Julia Tran is an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Currently engaged as a CEME Undergraduate Research Scholar, Julia contributes to innovative energy research initiatives at the Grainger Center for Electric Machinery and Electromechanics. Julia also serves on the Engineering Council's EXPO Committee, organizing career fairs, and holds the role of Academic Resources Chair in the Women of Electrical and Computer Engineering organization. As a Women Techmaker Ambassador, Julia promotes inclusivity in tech through community events. Previous experiences include a Mobile Application Developer position with Bank of America, project management and data analysis internships at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and various coding programs through Girls Who Code and Kode With Klossy, enhancing skills in software development, project management, and data visualization. Julia is dedicated to fostering diversity and sustainability within the engineering field.
