Ojars Skudra

Ojars Skudra is an accomplished historian and educator with extensive experience in academia and media. Currently serving as a researcher at the University of Latvia since June 2019, Ojars Skudra previously held positions as a lecturer and supervisor at Valsts pensionārs from March 2007 to June 2019 and at Universität Lettlands from June 1990 to June 2019. With a background in journalism, Ojars Skudra has been a freelance journalist since August 1974, providing insights and commentary on international politics for Latvian Television, Latvian Radio, and various newspapers. Ojars Skudra earned a history degree from Latvijas Universitate from 1966 to 1971, following earlier education at Bēnes vidusskola.
