Peter Yiga

Peter Yiga, PhD, is a highly experienced researcher in dietary health and food systems, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Leeds, focusing on food system transformations and their impact on health and nutrition in Zambia and South Africa. Previous roles include Research Associate at Mildmay Uganda, where Peter developed grant proposals and conducted research on lifestyle interventions, and Independent Consultant at Wageningen University & Research, emphasizing increasing fruit and vegetable consumption in Uganda. Peter's academic background includes a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven, with a notable contribution to understanding dietary behaviors and developing effective health interventions in sub-Saharan Africa.
