Tom Ashurst

Tom Ashurst is an experienced digital communications professional, currently serving as the Head of Digital Communications at the University of Leeds since February 2021. Prior to this role, Tom held multiple positions at Welcome to Yorkshire from June 2012 to February 2021, including Digital Communications Manager and Creative Manager, where responsibilities centered on creating impactful digital and social media campaigns to promote Yorkshire and the Tour de Yorkshire. Tom's earlier career includes roles at the Leeds, York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, YorSolicitor, and North Yorkshire Moors Railway, showcasing a solid foundation in marketing and communications. Tom holds a MA (Hons) in History from The University of Edinburgh and a Professional Certificate in Marketing from York College.
