Diederick (Rick) E. Grobbee, MD, PhD, FESC, currently holds the position of Distinguished University Professor of International Health Sciences and Global Health at Utrecht University since March 2010 and serves as Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at UMC Utrecht since September 1996. Additionally, Grobbee acts as Chief Scientific Officer at Julius Clinical Research and has been involved in various visiting professorships at institutions such as the University of Malaya and the University of Sydney. Grobbee’s academic pursuits are complemented by extensive international engagement, currently active in over 30 countries. Grobbee earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Utrecht University and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Hypertension from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
