Atharva Shirude

Atharva Shirude is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland since November 2023. Atharva is also the Co-Founder and Author of rootissh, a platform featuring an extensive collection of over 250 blogs focusing on cybersecurity news and innovative learning methods, established in June 2021. Previously, Atharva gained valuable experience as an Information Security Engineer at PKF Algosmic Pvt Ltd, where numerous web application security assessments and network VAPT engagements were performed. Atharva's background includes an internship as an Information Security Engineer, where skills in penetration testing and security blogging were developed, and as an Associate Security Consultant at HACK-X Security, providing vulnerability assessments for organizations in various sectors. Atharva's educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT World Peace University.
