Onur Cankur

Onur Cankur is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where involvement began in August 2021. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Assistant at Berkeley Lab, a PhD Intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Object-Oriented Programming I at the University of Maryland. Additionally, Onur participated in the CERN Summer Student Programme in 2020 and worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Hacettepe University, focusing on parallelization of string matching algorithms. Onur also held part-time and internship positions at Aselsan and an internship at Hacettepe University. Onur is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, having completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Hacettepe University.
