Soumya Sen

Associate Professor, Carlson School Of Management at University of Minnesota

Soumya Sen currently serves as a 3M Fellow in Business Analytics and Academic Director of the MIS Research Center at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, where Soumya has held the position of Associate Professor since May 2013. Soumya is also a McKnight Presidential Fellow and serves as the Academic Director of Graduate Programs in Business Analytics. Next to an academic career, Soumya co-founded DataMi, a start-up focused on smart data pricing solutions for mobile users, which originated from Princeton University. Prior to this, Soumya worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University and has held various research internships at Intel Corporation and Bell Labs. Soumya holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and Electrical & Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a BE (Honors) in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
