Tricia Budke

Tricia Budke, JD, SHRM-SCP, serves as the Chief of Staff to the Athletic Director and Director of Human Resources at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities since June 2015, overseeing Human Resources operations for 22 sports programs and 17 support units while liaising with various university offices. With additional experience as a Volunteer Attorney at Volunteer Lawyers Network since August 2012, Tricia advises economically disadvantaged clients on employment law and civil matters. Previous roles include Senior Labor Relations Consultant and Labor Relations Consultant at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, as well as Associate Attorney at O'Meara, Leer, Wagner & Kohl, focusing on workers' compensation and employment law defense. Tricia's legal foundation includes internships at the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Tricia holds a Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
