Zi Y.

Zi Y. is an accomplished researcher and data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning, data analysis, and biomedical engineering. As a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota since September 2015, Zi Y. initiated a project leveraging machine learning algorithms to predict mutation rates in bacterial genomes and performed advanced analyses on single-cell gene expression datasets. Prior experience as a Senior Data Scientist at Sapient involved full-stack data management and the optimization of analytical pipelines on cloud platforms, resulting in significant project time reductions. Earlier roles included data analysis at Alibaba Group and participation in a Data Analyst Nanodegree Programme at Udacity, where expertise in A/B testing and SQL was developed. Zi Y. holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and dual Bachelor's degrees in the same field from the University of Virginia.
