Amelia Howser

Amelia Howser, M.Ed., SHRM-CP, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice - School Counselor at Mizzou Academy, supporting nearly 7,000 middle and high school students. Amelia has previous experience as a Human Resources Recruitment Consultant at the University of Missouri-Columbia and held multiple roles at EquipmentShare, including Recruiter and Junior Talent Acquisition Associate. Prior to that, Amelia worked as a School Counselor in various institutions within Columbia Public Schools for over a decade and served as an Advocacy Coordinator and Equity Consultant at the University of Missouri-Columbia's Division of Inclusion, Diversity & Equity. Amelia's earlier career includes positions as a Research Specialist at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health and an Adolescent Services Specialist at Phoenix Programs, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University Chicago.
